Pastors Eddie & stephanie trayers

Pastor Eddie Trayers is the Lead Pastor of Summit Church in Springfield, Virginia. He is a husband, father, grandfather, and native of the Washington, D.C. area. After graduating from high school, Eddie spent two years on the road touring across the United States and overseas as a technical production and lighting director for a Christian music artist. During that time, God continued to shape his calling for ministry, which eventually led him to enroll at Rhema Bible College in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was there that he met Stephanie—his wife and ministry partner.

After graduating in 1990, Pastors Eddie and Stephanie served together in ministry as Youth and Associate Pastors in Lakeland, Florida. In 1998, they felt called to return to Eddie’s hometown in Northern Virginia. With a small group of just 15 people meeting in a renovated garage, Summit Church was born. What started as a simple home gathering has grown into a vibrant church family in the DMV metropolitan area. Today, Summit Church continues its mission of reaching the beltway community for Jesus Christ through dynamic weekly services for people of all ages, meaningful small groups that meet locally, and impactful community outreach that touches the world.
